Dedicated on Dec. 6, 2001, the Virginia G. Piper Cancer Center is Arizona’s first facility to offer patients access to diagnosis, treatment, research, prevention and support services in a single location on the campus of a locally-based nonprofit community hospital.

We take your fight with cancer personally. Outstanding community oncologists, world-class cancer researchers, caring staff and state-of-the-art technology unite the art of healing with the science of medicine.

Our comprehensive cancer center was thoughtfully designed with input from cancer survivors. Community philanthropic support continues to help us build the bridge between care and cure.

Cancer Care Coordinators and Research Patient Coordinators can help you understand the available options after a cancer diagnosis. They are experienced nurses with advanced expertise in oncology, and provide accurate information to help you make informed decisions about your care or the care of a loved one.

Scottsdale Healthcare is a primary clinical research site for Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen), facilitating laboratory bench-to-patient bedside application of new treatment discoveries for patients with cancer.

Clinical trials of groundbreaking new cancer therapies are available through the cancer center’s TGen Clinical Research Services clinic. Scottsdale Healthcare is a clinical research site for the Stand Up to Cancer Pancreatic Research Dream Team.

Results of cancer clinical trials conducted at Scottsdale Healthcare have been the subject of numerous papers and presentations at national and international medical conferences, as well as published in the New England Journal of Medicine.
