Scottsdale Healthcare Shea is a 433-bed full-service hospital providing emergency, medical/surgical, critical care,
obstetric, pediatric, cardiovascular, orthopedic and oncology services. All patient rooms are private.
The Emergency Department is staffed by specialists ready to treat patients of all ages. Scottsdale Healthcare Shea is
home to the Northeast Valley's only ER with separate waiting and treatment areas just for children.
The Shea Women’s Center focuses on education, prevention and the use of screening, diagnostic testing and early
intervention for better health. A wide array of services include the Family Birthing Center and the Northeast Valley's
only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Weight management, women’s diagnostics and other specialty services are integral to the center.
The Virginia G. Piper Cancer Center offers a wide range of cancer treatment, research and support services. As home of the Scottsdale
Clinical Research Institute, the center is a hub of activity in finding new treatments for cancer, cardiovascular and other diseases.
Scottsdale Healthcare Shea is a primary clinical research site for the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen). Phase I clinical
trials of new, targeted cancer drugs and therapies are available for cancer patients from Arizona and across the U.S.
Surgical capabilities at Scottsdale Healthcare Shea include cardiovascular, orthopedic, bariatric, urology, GYN, spine, pediatric and others.
The Total Joint Center is one of the Southwest's leading joint replacement programs. Minimally invasive surgical capabilities offer smaller
incisions and faster recovery times for patients.
The operating rooms at Scottsdale Healthcare Shea include two daVinci HD Robotic Surgical Systems. Scottsdale Healthcare Shea has the
longest experience with the daVinci robot of any Arizona hospital, acquiring the state's first daVinci in 2001.
